Gold in a Box

Puzzle:

We have two closed boxes with a label on each one. Label A on box A: "The label on box B is true and the gold is in box A" Label B on box B: "The label on box A is false and the gold is in box A" We don't know if the labels (one or both of them) are true or false. Knowing FOR SURE that the gold is in box A or in box B, where's the gold?

Solution:

The Gold is in box B.

Lets assume that label A is true. This means that label B is also true and the gold is in box A. In this case, the label A is false. This CAN'T be, because we assumed that the label A is true. Thus, our first assumption is invalid. So now we know that label A is lying. This leads us to two cases: (1) The label B is false. (2) The gold is in box B (now that we know that it cant be in box A). If (1) was true, then the gold is in box B or label A is true - which can't be because we know that label A is lying. So in BOTH CASES the gold IS IN BOX B

Gold is in box B.
label on box A is false. We assume both statements of label on box A are false
So label on box B is false and gold is not in box A.
In label on box B we have 2 statements. We know that label on box B is false. It also has two statements.1st one is true and 2nd one is false i.e label on box A is false and gold is not in box A
so the gold is not in box a
so it is in box b................

Answer is B.

1) Assume label on A is true, then gold is in box "A". label on "B" saying that is false. so this assumption false.

2)Assume label on "B" is true,it saying gold is in box "A" and label on on A is false. If the label on B is true and the gold is in box A, then the label on A is true.So this assumption also false
3) Assume both are false.
then label on "b" saying label on box "A" is false, so its true. and gold is box "A" must be false. means Gold is in "B"

I think it can be in either A or B

Lets say we assume gold is in A , then Lab A is false and Lab B is True as gold is in A and Lab A is False

Lets say we assume gold is in B, then Lab B is false as Gold is in B and Lab A is false as Lab B is false and not true

Please correct if iam wrog
