Puzzle:
The pharmacy has an old scale which has only two measuring weights 30 grams and 5 grams. How can you divide 300 grams of powder medicine into 3 groups, one 150 grams, one 100 and the other 50 grams. You can only weigh 3 times.

Solution:
First, we use 300 grams of medicine and 30 gram weight to split 300 medicine into 165 and 135 grams.
Then we use 165 grams of medicine and 30 + 5 gram weights to separate 165 grams into 100 and 65 grams.
Then we further separate the 65 grams into 50 grams and 15 grams.
Finally, Combine 135 and 15 grams to 150 grams.

1)divide as two parts 150 gm and 150 gm
2) take 150 gm powder and partition it as a 2 equal parts (75 gm and 75 gm)
3) at one side (say A side) put 30 gm measuring weight other side (say B side)put 5 gm measuring weight. and balance the weighing machine by taking powder from one partition of 75 gm . At balance condition the B side 25 gms of powder medicine will be there. Mix this powder with the other 75 gm. so total 100 gm.
Remaining powder is 50 gm
1st Step:
keep the 30 gm in 1st pan and 5 gm in 2nd, it means u will have 25 gm pouch
2nd Step:
with the help of 25gm pouch make another pouch of 25 gm
3rd Step:
by adding both 25gm make 3rd one of 50 gm pouch, it means now u have two 50 gm pouch
4th Step:
make 3rd 50gm pouch and at the end u have three 50gms pouch and 150gm remaining, now add the two 50gm pouch to make it 100 gm,...
so a/c to me 4 iterations required, anybody is there who can solve it in less than 4 is most welcome
