The secret agent X emailed a code word to his head office. They are "AIM DUE OAT TIE MOD". But four of these five words are fake and only one contains the information. The agent X also mailed a sentence as a clue - if I tell you any one character of the code word, you would be able to tell the number of vowels in the code word. Can you tell which is the code word?
Solution:
The code word is TIE.
If you were told any one character of MOD, then you would not be able to determine whether the number of vowels are one or two. e.g. if you were told M, there are two words with M - AIM with 2 vowels and MOD with 1 vowel. So you would not be able to say the number of vowels. Same arguments can be given for characters O and D. Hence, the word with any one of M, O or D is not a code word i.e. AIM, DUE, OAT and MOD are not the code word. Thus, TIE is the code word.
T : two words - TIE and OAT, both with 2 vowels

I guess the code word is 'TIE', since one of the its character could be a PAIR, which indicates TWO, that represents the number of vowels in TIE (I,E)
Out of AIM DUE OAT TIE MOD the secret word is "TIE"
All the five words contain only "A I M D U E O T"
now check serial wise
A-AIM contain 1 and OAT contain 1 vowel.so it is possible that A may be in secret word.
do same for ALL
we can find that possible characters in secret words are"A I U E T etc.
out of them only word TIE is already among the 5.[:)]

Out of AIM DUE OAT TIE MOD , MOD is the only word which has 1 vowel. All the others have two vowels. so if he tells any letter in MOD (M, O or D) we will be confused whether it is 2vowels or 1vowel. the word which do not have any of these letters is TIE. so if he tells any of T, I or E, he can say there r two vowels in the word.
the correct answer is MOD
its because all other words have 2 vowels. its only MOD which has only 1 vowel.
AIM--- A,I are vowels
DUE--- U,E are vowels
OAT--- O,A are vowels
TIE--- I,E are vowels
but in
MOD only 'O' is the vowel

the answer is DUE.because this is the word has the letter U which nonoe of the word contains
