An explorer wishes to cross a barren desert that requires 6 days to cross, but one man can only carry enough food for 4 days. What is the fewest number of other men required to help carry enough food for him to cross?

For Solution SCROLL DOWN...

The answer is clearly that only two other men are required. The first helper only goes one day into the desert. He feeds the other two men during the first day, so that at the beginning of the second day, he only has one day rations left. So he goes back to camp. On the second day, the second helper feeds himself and the explorer. On the beginning of the third day the helper now has two days rations left so he heads back. The explorer is two days into the journey and still has all four days of his food left, so he continues on alone.

Two more persons. Assuming each person caries 4 portions, on the first day they eat 3 portions from person 1 who then goes back to the starting point the next day using his remaining portion. Day 2 they eat 2 portions from person 2 who returns back using the two remaining portions. Then person 3 has enough 4 days food left with him to cross the desert.

one extra person only
suppose that 2 person carry food for 8x (x food for man for one day )
and one person can travel y distance a day
so total distance to cover is 6y
for the 1st day : food consumed by 2 persons = 2x
distance travelled =y
for the 2nd day :food consumed =2x distance travelled =y
so after 2 days journey food left = 6x distance still to cover = 4y
now one person can carry 4x food with him to cover rest of the 4y distance
and other person can return from the 2y distance with the rest 2x food

My developer is trying to convince me to move to .net from PHP.
I have always disliked the idea because of the expenses.
But he's tryiong none the less. I've been using WordPress on numerous websites for about a
year and am worried about switching to another platform.
I have heard great things about Is there a way I can import all my wordpress
posts into it? Any help would be really appreciated!
