    Both of you better luck next time. Both the answers are wrong.

    Because each statement also contains a number(0 in first statement, 1 in second statement....) which is neglected by you. I think we need to count that numbers too. Your answer is correct for self referencing numbers. I am trying for the correct answer....

    Read the puzzle carefully. It says fill these sentences. If you fill with 1, then count of 1 in the puzzle increases. So all 1s is not the answer and this is not at all a silly question!

    I think this is quite an impossible puzzle. First u enter 1. then 2, then again 2. Now here is the trick. Once u enter "no. of times 2 appears in this puzzle is 2", the number becomes three. Isn't it so?
